We had the Reuben Toastie from the Pie Book. The flavour was lovely. I decided to buy rye bread and bought a roundish loaf. I should have bought a square loaf. It would have fitted better.
We had it with RTE Cowboy Bean Salad.

Thanks Cookie. This is one of the recipes that I have marked to try.
Making Spaghetti meat Sauce. Might try it in a recipe in Pie book.

Made this meal for DH yesterday, though I made the sun dried tomato pesto a couple of days before that. I used a 500g pack of tenderloins which had 9 in the pack, so I got 3 serves from this. I made some browned onions and garlic on High Heat before starting the sauce then when they were cooked, I returned 60g of them and continued on with the recipe. The sauce was so lovely. Would be nice as a parmigiana sauce or as a base sauce on pizza or anywhere a tomato sauce is needed; lots of flavour. The chicken turned out tender, was very happy with this recipe. I served it with mashed potatoes and steamed vegies that I cooked in the Varoma.
I had a Michelle B meal from the freezer, I didn't write on the container what it was so it was going to be a surprise. Turned out to have a bit of pasta and chicken and veg in it.

We had sausages in rolls with onion and sauce. Very easy after a day on a car run.

I made Tenina's creamy chicken stroganoff for DH, though I only used about 1/4 of the creme fraiche and that was ample. Really quick and easy and he really enjoyed it.
I had a MB chicken & rice bowl, recipe made 2 serves. I used up a 175g chicken breast in the freezer as well as kidney beans, brown rice and corn. I enjoyed it, was healthy and filling.

They look delicious JulieO. I’m not sure what we will have. It is so humid here and our air con only helps minimally as it’s evaporative.
