The fruit and veg delivery box is always a surprise.  Contains things I would never pick but am happy to use.  Strawberries !! I can add 5 additional things to the standard box.
Smoked Trout pasta tonight.

DH cooked dinner for the weekend as I was working. He made chicken and mushroom pie with carrots, potato, cauliflower and sweet potato on the side. He made so much it lasted 2 nights with a serving to give our neighbour that lives alone.

I bought a very large chicken, cut it in half.  We had one half   Apricot chicken, ( Mab inspired ) and 1 half roasted with lemon. The carcass made stock for pumpkin soup for 2 meals and some stock over. The leftover chicken I made into 2 chicken pies with leek, mushrooms and corn.
For dinner tonight, Steak and chips.
The Bread and butter pud made from leftover cinnamon scrolls was delicious. I made too much custard so cooked it up with a bit more cream and churned it into ice cream.
