Yum Maddy, look like lovely chunky chips.

We had Butter Chicken from the Indian book. Yummy!! Posted a few tweaks on my blog (which I probably posted some of the last time I made it, must remember to use them, lol) but makes heaps to much sauce (even for me where I loooove extra sauce, not a big carb eater so prefer a soup like texture, lol) - recipe calls for 500g of cream, I did 250 cream, 100g yoghurt, 150 extra water - next time I'll try just doing 150g cream, 100g yoghurt. Thought the yoghurt really added to the flavour (and reduced the calories, lol). Also added some cumin seeds.

Sorry no photo, but really love this dish.

Probably the easiest dinner in history!
Quince paste & camembert pita pizza's.....and of course along with a couple glasses of bubbly  ;)

My two favourite flavour combinations.......and I'm trying to use up all the paste I made from last time.......the new fruit is already growing rapidly!
Just popped the paste in the microwave for 20 seconds, and it was perfectly spreadable.
I sprinkle semolina on the pizza stone, and with each pizza it develops a lovely smokey flavour to the base  :-*

Wow Maddy. We had pizza last night, nothing like yours, just traditional toppings. I tried a new sort of mozzarella this time and it was lovely.

Babi Pong Tay from the 2011 calendar.

Been so excited about this pork belly recipe after getting it a couple of weeks ago and it is so yummy!!!
Served with rice and steamed veg (broccoli, bok choy, red capsicum) done in the varoma for the last 15 mins (changed the temp up to varoma for that time).
Will make this again.

Tonight I made Chookies KFC ..... I'm truly indebted to you, Chookie. Rave reviews tonight, except from the youngest son who is 6 hrs old and said it was too hot, but he says that about most things!!
I made the EDC coleslaw, mashed potato and Chookies no fuss rolls, but made them quite small so they were like the ones from KFC!
I made the EDC gravy but wasn't impressed so reverted back to gravox and added a tablespoon of the failed gravy to it. I've frozen the gravy in ice block trays to use for something!
So cheap and no nasties compared to getting takeaway! YUMMO!

It looks just like KFC you had to go out and buy.

My 11 yr old son still keeps commenting on the "KFC" from last night!!!  Hmmmmm how do you top that???
Anyway, this afternoon was really hot and we ended up at my brother and sister In laws place for a swim later in the afternoon with a couple of glasses of wine!!! Got home at 6.45pm and realized I hadn't got anything out for dinner!! Oops! I looked in the EDC and remembered that the creamy tomato and salami fettucine went down really well last time I made it and I had all the ingredients. I used rigatoni pasta instead of the fettucine and It was ready in no time. My eldest son used to love the jars of pasta bake but I think this gets more of a thumbs up. Only complaint I get is that there isn't enough of it. I steamed some broccoli to pad it out a bit but it is a bit of a stretch to feed 3 hungry boys, husband and me!! I didn't have time to take a photo because we were all starving!!
