I’ll be having a crab cocktail and pumpkin soup. I’m lucky in that I have a crab processing factory only 10 minutes away. They sell 250 grams to the public on Thursdays for $30, enough for 4 meals for me and the dirty work has all been done.

Judy, that is so good.
Soup and wholemeal bread. The soup base is home made bone broth with added roast pumpkin and cauliflower. Also odd bits of veggies.
For lunch I made a stir fry. I roasted2 chicken Marylands with sweet chilli sauce in AF. I used the thigh , sliced and added it at the end. Silverbeet, celery and wasabi leaves from garden.

Cookie, the Wasabi leaves are similar to Watercress in heat. The stems are the same, but crunchy. They are currently a fad in Melbourne with Chefs who serve them pickled. The roots carry the most heat and this is what is used in genuine Wasabi paste. Most commercial paste is coloured Horseradish.
Last night I made Turkey meatballs.served with tomato sauce and pasta.  Pancakes made with 1/2 whole meal flour. Better than expected.

We are having a Bacon & Vegetable slice with potato mash, spinach/silverbeet dish and carrots.

We’re having pie from the freezer, with a creamed spinach in a cheese pastry thing.

We’re having a Chicken and Noodle stir fry. I’m making quick things as we have had a few friends drop round to see the new acquisition. These friends have a gorgeous little Fiat. So we invited it over to meet our big Fiat.

Wow Cookie, that’s fabulous. How exciting, I’m so jealous. Where are you going to try it out?
I’ve just got an Australian Fish cookbook from the local library. Will try a salmon recipe.

I’m itching to go somewhere but DH is adamant that it must be carpeted first (to protect the floor) and the cupboards lined with the non slide stuff (he’s correct). It’s also school holidays here. We will go away for only 2 or 3 nights at a time. Just u til we learn to manage everything. It’s all wifi and we have to learn to do it.

Dinner tonight is quiche and veggies.

Cookie, wise DH. I’ll bet it is complicated with all the new electrical WiFi stuff. You want to be able to use it to the maximum.
Pea and Ham soup for dinner tonight.
