JulieO, my sons would be drooling if I served up those ribs.  They look fantastic.  May have to cook these for their birthday next month.

Julie,  I knew there was a reason why I made a batch of that marmalade  yesterday. ;D
Tonight i converted a new recipe for veal cutlets with a spicy tomato sauce.  Served with TMX mashed pots, Alyce's creamed spinach.  The crumbs for the veal have garlic and parsley zapped in. Not sure that the kids would like the sauce as it has green peppercorns and capers.

Thanks Julie, the Chinese BBQ spare ribs (using the meaty pork belly rashers) I do from the WW book are boiled for 20 minutes, marinated for an hour then cooked in the oven for an hour.  Everyone loves them but it is quite time consuming.  I'll try this one of yours and for visitors will try boiling them the previous day then following your recipe from there, so much quicker. I have enough of Chookies carrot/orange marmalade left to do this recipe.  Visitors for Saturday lunch so am adding this to the menu and DH is going to hate sharing them  ;D

Wish I was going to be on your guest list JD. I haven't decided on dinner yet. I want it to be something special as DH
is arriving back from NZ tonight. Won't be home until about 8pm and will have probably eaten on the plane.
Am going to go back through the Valentine dinner thread.

Great Judy, waiting to know if the 'meaty' ones work out just as nice, I'm sure they will.  :D

Won't be doing the meaty ones this time Julie as I do have some of the American style ribs in the freezer from when the butcher boned out a piece of belly pork for me - I was asked if I wanted the bones  ??? You bet your bippy I did, I'm not that stupid.

Lunch today was steamed salmon, Asian flavours from this blog.
Cooked the vegies for 10 minutes before adding the salmon.  A quick and easy meal.

We're having lasagne tonight from the latest Donna Hay book. It has chorizo in it.

JD's corned beef with scarce vegies - scarce because we don't seem to have many left in the house and noone can be bothered leaving in this weather to get any.

This one has a brown cover Hally. DD picked it up the other day. I don't normally buy them. The lasagne was quite nice and different.
