Maybe buy a pasta maker with a couple of friends and share it?

We had EDC Hungarian Goulash. Delicious! Cooked some pasta in the basket while steaming beans in Varoma.

I used veal and it cooked in about 35 minutes.  I'd make this one again, but would perhaps add some sour cream at the end.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

MJ - great idea but not for me. I prefer to have my own just in case I ruin it.

Fundj - For $20 I would buy it....but are those machines any good?

JD - Thanks had a read through. It's intriguing if a recipe has an unusual name . . .

Tasty,

Pasta machine. Mine is used all the time. Once you make your own pasta you wont want dried or even "fresh" pasta.

My machine has a lifetime warranty & it gets a god work out.

I do still buy pasta for a quick kids pasta bake or mac n cheese, or kids dinners.

You can make lasagna sheets, fettucini, tagliatlli (sp) spghetti, ravioli, any type of pasta pouches, its endless & lots of fun.

DS 8 loves to roll it.

No don't do it Hally, you might just convince me that I need one. But how long would it take me to make enough to feed 7 people? That's what would stop me buying one :(

Do you buy 500g pkts for the family?

5 eggs, 500g flour, little oil. Throw in tm, put in  fridge, divide up in to workable amounts & roll.

Easy & quick, the kids will love doing it.

Are u guys wondering why is she taking so many photos lately , i will tell you why.

I have started a facebook page for me and my girls so when they need to see steps of things that we have made  together they will remember.  my DD # 2 will be going oversea at xmas and staying there for about 3 years, this will help her a great deal.
