Thanks Amy and Judy.  It was exactly what I felt like too judy.  ;D

I tried the method of cooking the corn in the microwave, (cobs rinsed leaving the water on it, then lightly wrapped in kichen paper, then cooked for 1 min on High, turn it over and cook another 1 min).  Only did 1 cob at a time but next time will try putting the 2 in for 2 mins each side and see how it goes.  Was lovely and tender, couldn't believe how quick it was.  Sure beats steaming them or even pressure cooking them when only wanting to cook 1 or 2.  :D

Everything looks delicious!

I adore Veal Marsala and make it when I can find the thin steaks at the stupidmarket. I also make it with mushrooms. Like the corn in the microwave idea!

We had chops with Diane Sauce and salads tonight. I made a lovely cauliflower salad and chopped the cauli in the TM.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Well DD and I had soup from the freezer, and for the life of me I couldn't remember what recipe I'd used  ??? It was lovely tho. Had considered going back through this thread to find out what we had a couple of weeks ago  :D it was either sweet potato or pumpkin.

I work most nights Courton, so I just have a snack before I go and then another small snack when I get home ;)

Megan, try the corn this way just to see.  Must say I was sceptical but they turned out great.  Will be doing them this way from now on.  :D

I have always cooked my corn in the microwave too but sometimes I now do it in the steaming basket with other veggies in the varoma dish & tray.  That works well too although does take 20 minutes or so depending on how crunchy or soft you like your corn.

I must be one of the only ones that hadn't thought of doing it like that.  ???  Didn't expect it to work so well.  No matter how old I get, I'm always learning.  ;D
