What's for Dinner Tonight?

Had the veg terrine which I think would be great on a hot day.  It didn't look as good as the original, just need to take a bit more care when assembling, but we enjoyed it.  

Am wondering what it would be like gently warmed in the oven, sliced and used as a side with a meal?  May try that as there's enough left.

The recipe is from here, you can see it being made as well as the printed recipe.  The woman uses a TM to make the rocket pesto.

Julie, what a colourful photo It is an odd looking dish though!

Eating out tonight, can't decide between a Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich with fries or a Chicken & Rice Burritos.

I'd go for the sandwich, but I'd swap the fries for salad

Fair enough (I wouldn't touch salad with a barge pole  ). In the end I had the chicken&rice burrito as the missus had the sandwich and she tends to prefer we don't eat the same thing in restaurants which drives me potty

JulieO the cream sauce is lovely. I froze my leftovers last week and this week scratched some out, let it thaw and used it.

Dinner tonight is JD's tuna, mushroom and noodle dish.

It is an odd looking dish Amy I agree.  Shame the green zucchini didn't show,  I think my container was too big.  Never mind as I have on order the one that was in the video.  I already have the round one which I find really good.

Cookie, I've frozen mine in my tablespoon sized ice cube tray.

Julie, the terrine looks lovely - you are too hard on yourself. It looks like a lovely summer dish.

Steak (which turned out well considering this is only the 3rd time I've cooked steak) and I wanted to cook something from Nigellissima and found a really nice savoy cabbage recipe with potatoes, fennel seeds and mild blue cheese. It was really yum.

Terrines always look so neat but yours is the most colourful I have seen Julie.  They are generally eaten cold aren't they - I've never had a warm/hot one.  Very professional Julie.

Thanks Judy.  Yes, eaten cold and on a hot day it would be refreshing and tasty, but instead of having more of the same tomorrow, I like the idea of trying it warm or at least with the chill taken out of it.  As it's got caramelised onions in it too, I'm thinking a small amount of it in the chevapchichi rolls we are having tomorrow might be the go. They are developing flavours in the fridge ready to cook tomorrow.

I think it will be fab tomorrow just heated slightly as a side dish.
We Used to eat similar in France, Brittany region, many years ago and we ate as a side at room temperature when we had leftovers .
