Wonder, didnt you know there is nothing normal about me
No a lamb has 4 legs but you only get 2, the first time I aked the butcher where my other 2 legs were, he lauhged. I get the 2legs cut up into 3 pieces each, perfect for the 3 of us.

So what do they do with the other two? do we only get the back or front legs sold as legs of lamb?
JulieO, the half legs of lamb are the only meat I buy at the supermarket and I only buy the meaty end (bit without the shank) when they have them on sale, they just have one bone you need to cut around and there is virtually no fat on that end. When on saleonce I've removed the bone and cubed, I can normally get 900grs of very lean meat for around $10. Perfect for two curry meals for the 4 of us and much nicer than the cubed lamb I can buy at the butcher. This is also the only bone our dogs ever get so a bit of treat for them as well.

H, at least you've got rid of a tin out if your pantry
I'm having a total lack of inspiration for dinner tonight. I openied the freezer and took out a packet of diced steak, but I hadn't labelled what kind of steak
I looked in the main meals thread and chose Chili Beef with creamy lemon feta. I made the feta first and put it in the fridge. I decided to cook the beef in the PC to be on the safe side, and cooked the rice in thermie. I've just tested the beef, but its not tender so I am cooking it a bit longer
. Dinner is very late tonight

It,s still got one minute to go!

I'm glad I cooked the beef in the PC as it was a cheap cut of meat and it ended up being very tasty and tender. I added a couple of carrots and zucchini with the onions as I only had about 400g of beef, and a little more liquid. The feta was nice for a change, but DH Thought it was yoghurt.
Saved by the forum again:)

Great dish and photo ES. Read your post three times before I worked out what pc meant. Didn't think you could cook in the computer!
Tuna is always handy to have around Amy. Smart move, sad about the chicken.

It was a full kilo of chicken too, and we only bought it a couple of days ago
Kimmy, that was my last tin of tuna so I better stock up on some more!
