We seem to have managed with wholewheat spaghetti ok since the op. if kids come home expect they'll grumble! We are trying to stick to it if we can.
How did the steamed dumplings go cookie with yeast? That's something I want to try!
We had lamb shanks tonight browned in pan with onions and leeks then pressure cooked with stock, carrots, and a dash of balsamic vinegar, 1 tsp red currant jelly and 2 tsp mint jelly. Very good, thickened the gravy a little with flour served with mash and spinach.
Two shanks made enough for us two with leftovers, perfect with a bit more gravy to go with dumplings I think.
Then I made half quantity invisible apple pie, with 3 Gala, from the cake thread all flung together and baked in a Pyrex dish. It was good.

So proud of DD today as she caught a squid. I caught one tommy, but luckily one of the locals gave us some of the whiting they caught. Absolutely nothing like freshly caught seafood 😄😃😀😊

Last night we had chicken tenderloins marinated in buttermilk, then coated in honey mustard/egg wash/crumbs/spray EVO then baked. Served alongside a salad of roasted pumpkin/beetroot and steamed green beans/silverbeet with a Greek yoghurt dressing. Yum
