What's for Dinner Tonight?

Australian spaghetti tonight. (with vegemite). We're going to see John Cleese, I hope the theatre has freezing air con.

Made the warm chicken couscous salad and it was a hit with everyone...

Except for the usual "it would be better without olives" (DS12), "do I have to eat the pumpkin?" (DS9) and "the chicken isn't very nice" (other DS9) - it was a BBQ chook, which he normally scoffs!

Still, I'm not complaining as they cleared their plates and said they are happy to eat it again. Got to love meals where they will all eat it.

I went to college in london with a girl, her father was in quite a few Bond movies & they lived about 2 doors away from john cleese. He is very funny in his own environment too.

Made my first pizza last night on home made pizza dough. DS7 who normally doesn't like pizza nearly ate a whole pizza.

For some reason DS7 pizza was thinner than ours. Same dough used for both. 

It was still lovely though and will definately make again.

DG - i have found with pizza that when the pizza has a lot more topping on it, it turns out thinner. Would that be the case with the difference between the pizzas you made?

No the oppostie Tasty. Ours (the thicker one) had alot more topping than the thinner one.

fundj I cooked them at the same time. Only difference was the thicker one was on the bottom shelf and thinner one on the middle shelf.

2 new salads today,  one with steamed eggplant and one with mushrooms.. Both with Asian sauces.  will post.  The eggplant one is a Kylie owing recipe,  the other an old family fav.  Had another go at the Zucchini Cake,  think I have got it.  Also made No Fuss rolls from cold start.  
Stupid machine won't let me attach photos.  !!!!!!

Tonight is Chookie's chow mein. My DH added tomato sauce to his Aussie spaghetti last night  .

Loved John Cleese last night.

My Dad used to put tomato sauce on everything Cookie - did DH like the vegemite spaghetti with his tomato sauce? Glad you had a good night out with John Cleese.
