Judy, this may seems a strange question, but do you cut your Brussel sprouts in half before you cook them?

Sometimes I do Amy so that they cook the same time as other soft vegies. Other times I just cut an X in the bottom and leave them whole. I'm easy, a brussel sprout is a brussel sprout no matter which way it is served

I quite enjoy a good Brussel sprout Judy, but I've only ever steamed them perfectly once
I just wondered if cutting them in half may be the secret to a perfect sprout

I cannot say how long it is since I have had a brussel sprout -- need to have one or two....

They seem to take longer to cook than most veggies Amy but are not nice overlooked either.
