I agree MF. Amy your Mum will most certainly be very proud of you :)

I had a cup of tea for dinner. Had a very big lunch with family so really didn't need or want anything else.

Amy those shanks look magnificent! My DS(18 on Wed) couldn't cook a meal if his life depended on it.  My fault I know, I should start teaching him. No reason he can't cook one meal a week. Besides I really don't want to hand him over to his future wife being totally useless! Lol

Pizza from leftover crio beef chilli that we had earlier in the week. Sauce was chopped fresh tomatoes, followed by beef, then grated mozzarella and then Parmesan shavings. Lip schmacking good and quick ❤

I  agree Moptop as my DH didn't even know how to make toast when we married.  :o
All my kids knew how to cook well before leaving the nest although the 2 boys had no concept of cleaning up as you go along.
One of my sons still cooks most of the meals for his wife but I pity her as the kitchen looks like a bomb site when he has finished.
I guess we can't have everything.
Amy's mum is a lucky lady  :D

Thanks MF and MT :-*

That sounds like my 19 year old brother MT. Mum tried to teach him to cook, but he has no interest in it :-)) He now lives on a university campus and eats packet food or ready made meals from the supermarket :-X

All the food looks great. We had a beautiful dinner last night, I'did ale a photo for once but it's on DH's phone! It's was the Greek lamb ribs from the masterchef website, with lemon potatoes and a salas of pumpkin, green beans, spinach, almonds and Persian feta. Ive never cooked lamb ribs before and while like all ribs they were a bit fatty but I saw cooked them for close to two hours before crisping up and they were great.

The party went pretty well, it was more of a gathering so we knew 80% of the kids really well, and they were pretty well beaved over all. We decided to  go down the path of allowing alcohol with a signed parental consent form which takes the responsibility off us if something goes wrong but we were monitoring things very closely because there were kids swimming and in the spa. We loved getting to know the kids and them enjoying being here and that DD is comfortable having them over.  Sorry totally off topic.

Don't think I'll cook anything today.
