As its so hot tday, happy to be in the pool, I have a friend coming over for a swim, spa & lunch :)

Might just have quick pizzas for lunch, have a few bases left.

It really doesn't matter JD, just cook them first and away you go. DH loves them in his lunchboxes for work, so am making up a huge batch today, that is why we are having them for dinner tonight! And the fact we all like them, they can be prepared ahead and frozen, I know there will be no complaints from any of the madams.... !  ;D
Also a good way to use up all those leftover sausages from a BBQ.  :)

astarra I'm confused  :-\ first i thought you were taking the filling out of the sausages and stuffing the cases with a mix of potato, bacon etc. and now i'm thinking mayabe you split already cooked sausages and then layer them with the other ingredients and grill. Still can't figure it out though.

You are right on the second point Wonder - I'll post a photo later. Sorry for the confusion.
Cook sausages, split down the top (not too far or they open right up, tho they are nice too, using the sausages more like a pizza base.) then fill with mashed potato, bacon and tomato slices, then cheese and herbs sprinkled on top to grill!
Pork sausages are nice done with pineapple in the mix too.  :D

The other week we had a few left over sausages, i chopped them up & put them on  a pizza, cp thought they were fantastic pizzas, he loved the sausage on them.

My version of Baf's chicken with sausages. Maybe choc cake or brownies for dessert.
