I never knew that Kimmy, funny because they are normally the only type of apples I buy but I generally buy Granny Smiths when I'm making apple sauce.

Lol kimmy, my little misses think pink apple sauce is one of the greatest things! 
In saying that, miss5 went through a stage a while back that everything had to be pink - her clothes, her sheets, and even her food.

Michelle, we had lentil bolognaise earlier this week, and my family enjoyed it.
Tonight I'm making Tenina's tandoori chicken salad, as we have a friend over to watch Port beat Freo. Dessert is hokey pokey icecream.
CC, I didn't have a recipe for the potato pie, but I'll try and remember what I did. I made the pastry, the filling and the mash earlier in the day and assembled it just before dinner when all the ingredients were cold. I used Kimmy,s quiche pastry.http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11982.0, wrapped it in glad wrap and popped it in the fridge. I made the pie filling in my pressure cooker, using about 700g of round steak. I browned it, and then sautéed onion, celery, garlic and carrots with some bacon. I added a tin of tomatoes and a couple of cubes of umami paste, and cooked it for a while. Then added the beef back with some fresh herbs and some more chopped carrot, chicken stock powder and enough water to just cover, bought it to pressure and cooked it for 30 min. When it was cooked, I mixed some of the liquid with a tablespoon of cornflour and added it back in to thicken it, and left it to cool. I cooked 3 large potatoes in the microwave and put them through my ricer and mixed with some butter and warm milk to make a stiff mash. When it was time to cook the pie, I rolled out the pastry, added the filling and then topped with the mash and grated some Parmesan over the top, put it in a moderate oven and cooked for 35-40 minutes.
