Thanks Margaret, my resolve to reduce stocks is finally working.
You seem to be dieting, is this the case and is it working?

Judy I am not dieting.  I have a problem with my oesophagus which goes into spasms, soft food seems to help a bit
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

I’ve had an endoscopy recently as food was getting stuck in my oesophagus Margaret.  I too was mainly eating soft food but after the endoscopy and being put on tablets for reflux it is all good now.   Your problem is obviously a lot worse than mine, I would have a drink and the food would go the rest of the way so the pain was only for a short time.

Touch wood I have never had an endoscopy. Judy and Margaret I feel for you. On of the ladies at our bookclub has a simi8lar problem Margaret. She was going for another endoscopy but has sadly left bookclub so I can't tell you what was being done, if anything. It sounds awfully uncomfortable.

Mine was a breeze cookie, I rather enjoyed my day as staff at the hospital were all so friendly and I got to spend a night with DD and family

I had no eggs in which to dip the fish so I diluted aioli with milk and that worked a treat, the cheesy crumbs stuck beautifully Denise. I served the 2 pieces of snapper with cauli-au-gratin and a huge jacket potato.

Today I’m having zucchini slice & chips for lunch and soup for tea. I have some stewed quinces for dessert and will make some custard to go with that.

Whilst I’m still finding things to get me through the day I will not go shopping, there is plenty of meat in the freezer but I’m trying to get through all the pre-cooked items.

I have just defrosted the little freezer and as that was getting low I was able to put everything from there into the spare drawers of the upright freezer. Just how long I can leave the small one turned off remains to be seen once I start cooking and buying again but I have been trying for 5 years to turn this one off LOL.
Good luck turning your little feeezer off permanently Judy. ;)
We are going to have Mushroom Stroganoff.

Judy, well done with the freezer. There is a feeling of great insecurity when the freezers are empty. Must get over this.  The trouble is I often like to decide at the last minute what we will have for Dinner or lunch.   Not much good at meal planning.

Cut up the large pumpkin we grew last Summer. Made 2 lots of Pumpkin soup in TMX. ( one for DD). Roasted some for dinner. Had recently had roast pumpkin with hazelnuts. A lovely combination.
Had some frozen Turkey loaf in freezer so reheated this. All served with green beans and Celeriac purée.  I grew the Celeriac and it is in a different league altogether than the bought stuff. I poached it in milk with a fresh bay leaf.
Tonight, Pork a la something !

We had mushroom and spinach soup with either chilli scrolls or ham and cheese ones from the freezer. DD elected to have naan from the freezer with hers.

Tonight we had a hamburger and coleslaw on white bread at local hall. And then listened to a lecture on worms.
