Using leftover roast chicken, gravy and leftover roast veggies, I made Mini Pies with Puff Pastry.  I slightly under cooked then and then reheated in AF.  Very successful.

Fresh King fish caught by DS yesterday, not sure what to have with it yet.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Oh yum yum. I loved Aberdeen Sausage.  Mum used to make it and I have done it a couple of times. Do you steam it Margaret? Or boil it in a cloth?

I bought the WW Pie book yesterday. I checked Target and K Mart, but then Big W had it for $15. It was on special and is usually $16. I haven’t had a good look at it yet.

I've put the book on reserve through the library but may be a while as it hasn't been purchased yet.  That's okay though, no rush.  I've also read that Kmart will be selling it at $15 too for anyone else interested.  :)

I have been playing with the mini pie machine of late.  Not sure that I need to buy the book but am tempted.
Last night had just tomato soup and SD toast for dinner.  roast chicken for lunch.

I do mine in a steamer Cookie.  Mum always did hers boiled in a cloth, I'm not game to try it that way.

King fish again tonight, had it with salad last night, will do vegetables with it tonight.

Mum did hers in a cloth too. I think I have done it in the cloth but I think I would use the Varoma nowadays.

We are having roast pumpkin and feta quiche tonight. I must roast the pumpkin and make the pastry. Thank goodness for the Thermomix and AF.

MAB, what recipe do you use for your Aberdeen Sausage? I'm always looking for new recipes with mince! ;D
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Meganjane, lovely to see you on the forum again.

The recipe for the Aberdeen Sausage is an old one of my mother's.  It is basically the same as this one by Margaret Fulton. Aberdeen Sausage=https://www.cooked.com.au/Margaret-Fulton/Hardie-Grant-Books/The-Margaret-Fulton   I omitted the grated lemon rind as I didn't have a lemon.  Still tasted nice.

Tonight we are having a small roast leg of lamb done in the AF.

Hi MJ. I see your name popping up in all sorts of places. I hope things are well with you. I think the Aberdeen Sausage Mum used to make was in the CWA book. I will have to check.
Tonight we are having gnocchi with Chorizo. I will make the gnocchi after lunch.

Cookidoo Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani). I made the Tandoori Paste yesterday and it's delicious. For anyone trying to get hold of Kashmiri Curry Powder and Brown Cardamom Pods, Herbies have them. www.herbies.com.au
