No such problems here Frozzie. Last year I asked a local electrician if they had any cable reels that they were throwing away. I got about a dozen and wound the lights on it. Thanking myself this year when I got them out.

I haven't had a Christmas tree for years as I am usually away for the holidays.

However, from time to time I have set out some decorations.  This from several years ago.

Christmas time is puppy time in most basenji houses.
Unlike other breeds, basenjis only come in season once a year in the fall (northern hemisphere) and most puppies are born in December and January.
The seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere and after I got a girl from OZ in the mid '70s, her first litter was in June.  She switched over to our seasonal routine the following year.

Haven't seen basenji puppies for ages Andie but your photo reminded me how cute they are.

Absolutely beautiful Maddy. I may be doing the same as CP. My DH really doesn't like Christmas at all. I think he tolerates it as DD and I get so much fun from it. He always rushes out at 4.30 Christmas Eve to do his shopping and what makes me cross is that he always gets what he went to buy, they have never run out. :-[ At least he doesn't forget and I do love him for all his idiosyncrasies.
