Love it Uni, I'm sure you can get enough corks - does DS's restaurant serve wine with meals?

I don't put up a tree - since I live alone there isn't much point.

But I do hang up this panel with my small collection of "vintage"  Holiday pins.  It looks rather festive hanging next to my desk.

The oldest is the pine branch with the bell hanging from it.  It has a ruby bead for the bell "clapper" and is gold - filled and enameled.  It belonged to my grandmother.  My grandpa bought it for her in Chicago, in 1925.

Looks great Andie, a good idea so you can see them rather than being lost in a cupboard somewhere.

I was thinking Gert might be able to help.  ;) LOL.

Actually corks are getting very hard to find.  Most wines, even very expensive ones have gone to the screw cap. They are cheaper then a a cork and more reliable.

Great Idea Andie.  Your pins are great.

Loving all the Christmas additions to your lives - Andie I have a pin similar to your 'Joy' but with jingle, actually bought it in the states on our first trip at the cutest Christmas shop in Solvang. Some of my favourite decorations in our house today were purchased at that time.

I was forgetting they don't use corks very often these days.  Whomever made that one must have saved up for a very long time or perhaps you can buy them somewhere.  Yes, just googled and they aren't that expensive for something you can use every year and be different to everyone else.  http://www.brewcraftsa.com.au/listProduct/Wine+Making/Corks,+Capsules+and+Seals
