Yes JD we are trying. We will be 7 on the day, inc a 7 y o. Magic.
Getting stocked up with food and drink now, so can then push on with house ..... Looks like I am now getting a Christmas tree for my birthday..... Not quite what I imagined but is novel and fun.... Need to plaster room first, no room anywhere else for tree.
Will take pic when we have it up..

Looks like it's a NSW/VIC tree. We have a huge tree we inherited with our property. I do nothing to it. I remember having one in our backyard as a kid and mum and dad sold bunches of it on the side of the road to get a few extra dollars for Xmas.

Finally here is our tree.
Not the best specimen, buying late is not great....
Better late than never....

That's lovely DJ, not too big, nice and green and I love the way it has a weeping effect.

Your tree is great DJ. What I'm really liking is the deep window sill and the beams going up the walls.
It looks like 'Escape to the Country'

LOL
Weeping effect.... My late Pa would insist on it being straight and I've tried but it's stuck rigid in a breeze block.
E to C... True... See the lack of curtains.... Window cill and beams still to be stained and laminate floor to go down all in due course.

It looks good to me DJ
Do you need curtains? I don't have curtains on a lot of my windows as we look out onto the bush and only the kookaburras and possums look in.

Just giving this thread a bump as we are coming into the season. Would love to see what decorating you are all doing.

I think it is beautiful uni though perhaps a bit over the top with the Mars bars. Very understated and right on trend. It is also 100% better than mine..
Gert
Oh wait, I don't actually have a tree nor have I ever had a tree.

Even though I'm going minimalist, I would love to see what the rest of the folk on here are doing.
