Does anyone remember the upside down Christmas trees that K-mart sold, I think 2 years ago?  Now that was even too bizarre for me    It just looked so wrong!

I love decorating our Christmas tree and before the kids came along I used to have a different theme each year also.

This year our tree is decorated with some sweet little salt dough ornaments and paper snowflakes that the boys made at playgroup. I don't know if I will be happy or sad when I can get my special ornaments out again in years to come.

have tried 3 times to put up pics of my tree, with no luck, computer says file to large, maddy do you know how to reduce the size? i managed to successfully put them on facebook after trying here. hope someone can help thanks nicky

Nicky, right click on the photo then go down to 'open with' then 'paint'.  On the L.H. side of the screen you will then get a series of words, click on 'Image' then 'resize/skew'.  resize the first measurement from 100% to 25% in each box (horizontal & vertical measurements), click 'OK'. Click on 'file' & 'save as' etc   This is probably as clear as mud but was what the girls on here taught me and I surprised myself when it worked

Oh, very pretty Nicky!  Turquoise looks wonderful against the green    I actually haven't seen that before, but it's very effective!

I post photo's a bit differently so I will add my version too if it helps anyone:

you have to make them smaller before you add them.

So in the folder where you have stored the pic, click on the pic, right click on mouse - Edit, change picture size - compress pictures - compress for web pages, save.

Go to Additional Options (below your recipe/post), click Browse.

I think we all have our own methods and as long as it works, it doesn't matter.  I did notice though Nicky74 that your photos stayed small whereas if I right click on my posted small photo and open it, it will become much larger. The only time mine stayed too small was when I think I reduced it more than once by mistake   Things don't always run smoothly, sometimes it all goes to plan and sometimes the computer decides to play around with you before letting you have your way with it.

cookie, you should put your method up also as it is bound to help someone. with all the different types of computers around, one method may work and its so good to be able to see photo's of everything. go for it I say 

I suggest that there should be some instructions in an obvious place so everyone has access to them.

Well it's posted and in full view, not very photogenic, I think the words "rustic' or "organic" come to mind but I had great fun dressing it with our Christmas baubles.
