I think this is the one you are looking for then DD.  I had it sent to me from one of the forum members but she is reluctant to put UK Thermomix recipes from their books onto the forum.  I have found the same recipe though on someone's blog so have a try, it is really nice. It is called Spanish Rice Pudding.

QuirkyJo has a gorgeous rice pudding on her blog:  Creamy Coconut Vanilla Rice Pudding.   Made it last night, and it is my favourite rice pudding recipe so far!

Sorry, but I dont know how to put a link to the actual recipe on here, but her blog is:  www.quirkycooking.blogspot.com

QuirkyJo - can we persuade you to post the recipe on the forum  ;D :-* ;D :-* ;D :-*

Hi Judy,
Can you please send me the recipe too.  I am guessing that there is some good reason why you can't post it - copyright, etc.
I have no more chocolate souffles in the freezer so we are going to try rice pudding tonight.  :)
Cheers,
Chris

This is the one that I use, it tastes just like Ambrosia Creamed Rice, and is so easy. I reduce the sugar by at least half, and still find it sweet enough. It's lovely with a dollop of home made jam in the middle of the bowl.
This was the recipe that made DH consider that Thermie was  worth the money.... We had both got in late from work, no tea organized, and not enough leftovers for everyone, so I quickly weighed the rice and milk into the bowl, set Thermie to do his magic, made sandwiches, had a shower and then filled (and warmed) everyone up with the most delicious rice pudding.
Beauty is only fur deep.....

Judy, I have just seen this and would like to try the rice pudding recipe if you would be kind enough to send it to me. Thanks.  Also have a couple of pages stuck together in the EDC - pages 154 and 155 in that rice pudding recipe it was stuck together right on the amount of milk to use and I can't read it. Would someone be kind enough to tell me please....I must take more care when using the custard recipe not to spill anything on the page! :-*

Thanks ladies. I actually made this recipe tonight but wasn't aware this was the recipe you were initially talking about Judy. I cut back on the sugar and still I found it too sweet for my tastes and also cooked it longer as the rice still wasn't cooked through, but otherwise it was delicious. It also made an awful lot and as there are only two of us empty nesters here now we are going to be eating it for weeks! I will also fix my EDC cookbook recipe. Thanks again. :-))

I have quite a lot of milk that I have to use up as it's about to expire so I'm thinking of giving this a go. Does anyone know if I can use basmati rice as I have no short grain rice?

Or is there another rice pudding recipe that is better than this than someone can share with me?
