My demonstrator rang me last night to see how I was going with my TMX and was amazed when I rattled off all I had made so far!  I told her how I did a lot of homework and most of that was here on this forum  ;D so I had already printed off easy recipes to try and it has certainly helped my TMX journey so far.......

We've now made this 6 times since we have been away. DH shares it out to friends. Last night we didn't have any for us. :'(

I made another one this afternoon, I had to use part arborio as I had run out of medium grain. We kept most of this one for ourselves. DH has just returned from crabbing. Crabs for lunch tomorrow. :D

Judy :P can I bug you for a copy too please?  One of my sons eats what I call creamed rice almost daily and my recipe doesn't work well in the thermomix :)  Thank you mwah!!

I would also love you to send me your recipe. I love rice pudding but I don't like the one done in my TMX, pressure cooker, slow cooker, Remoska cooker, microwave, or ordinary cooker. Gosh I never realised I had all these cookers till I wrote them down! :o
 My mother used to make hers in a very slow oven for hours and it was a blush pink with a deep brown skin on top. I have never tasted one as good.

It's not my recipe DD, it is from the cookbook My Way of Cooking but it sounds as if your Mum's recipe is going to be hard to beat  ;D ;D

sounds like your mum had a secret recipe... do you reckon she may have mixed berries or rhubarb in it?

Strangely enough, my mothers recipe was the most simple. She just mixed full cream milk with pudding rice and sugar into a bowl. A little grated fresh nutmeg  was mixed in and then more nutmeg was then liberally grated on top and also a walnut size piece of butter. (The butter made the skin softer and prevented it from becoming like a  parchment texture) It was then put into a slow oven often overnight. It needs to be slow for the rice to absorb the milk without it boiling.
I have never been as successful in an electric oven. :(
