Just been to town, it is so crazy in there, people everywhere. I gave each of my kids $20 each and there mission was to buy each person in the family (6 presents) a gift each to wrap up and put under the tree. They all done a great job and are now enjoying wrapping the things they brought. Little things like deodorant, makeup, DVD's, chocolates etc. it's amazing what you can buy for around $3 -$4 each. And the kids love it. But I am glad that's over.

That's a great idea Mandi and I can imagine how much they would enjoy it.

As I hang my head, I admit to buying another cookbook this morning. Dymocks have Italian Food Safari  for $19.99. I made the excuse that it will be under the Chritdsmas Tree. Santa is bringing me a few this year.

I had not bought 1 single Christmas present  :P hard to believe I know LOL
So I started bum shopping yesterday, had completely forgotten to order this earlier for DD

A leather bed stool for the foot of her bed.....love the hidden storage too!  Have grave fears it won't be delivered by Christmas, but will just make it a present from us.

.......and some mokingjay pendant, apparently symbolic in the hunger games series.....which DD is nuts over

....I have no clue really.  She only just informed me yesterday that the pendant is the only thing she wants from her list  :-)) .....and of course it was from U.S.  :-))  paid a fortune for express postage......and what's the bet it won't be here in time anyway!

DS is easy though......all his list is from a sports store......so I will join the throngs of last minute maniac shoppers, who thought leaving their shopping to the last week, was a good plan  :P
.........EAT CAKE!

Uni, it is nice to give our kids some of our treasures before we leave this earth so why not sneak a few of your recipe books down to him from time to time.  DH would never know.  How lovely of him to keep buying you things he thinks you really want though - bless him.  It would be cruel to stop him, he is enjoying it so let him go.
Maddy, I love the bed stool/storage box - you can never have enough storage in any room.
Robyn, I hate Christmas shopping - it is not the actual giving but what to buy that irks me.  My DD unfortunately gets stuck with having to do all the shopping for the kids, not only for me but 3 others as well.  You can imagine how much pressure that puts her under but she has once again done it and will even wrap up all the pressies for everyone. I have a couple of things here to add to them and always give them money for their banks accounts so it is the easy way out for me. I can't remember when I lost interest in Christmas shopping - I hate the crowds, the line-ups, the parking.  Miserable b.....r aren't I :-))

My christmas shopping is all done.  YAY

Mum got a new summer dressing gown, dad new salt and pepper grinders.

Santa is bringing DS an ipod touch and little goodies and underwear for santa sack.
New camp bed for DS from us.

Hubby is getting stuff from Dick Johnson Racing

Father in law a drizabone coat and mother in law got a Body Shop tin, some port and chocolates.

Nephews (all in high school) got pocket knives and itune cards.

Now I wonder what I will get  :D

 :) All shopping is done.
i picked up the kids stuff on friday.
Just got back from grocery shopping now.
Only need to buy salads, fruit, veges, milk for the next 3 weeks.

I'll do that from our little local supermarket.
my 3 big chest freezers are full.

We have so much fruit on our trees. 2 weeks ago it was plums, now lychees and mangos.
