I have just had a quick look through the book that came with the Proofer and yes it can be used for making yogurt (up to 8 litres) that is a heck of a lot. It will also melt and according to the book temper chocolate.

I imagine that will be very handy in your climate Marie.

After going to the hairdressers I went next door to an op shop I think it was the Salvos. Was so impressed with how all the clothing etc was set out and all very clean.
I picked up some low ride faded jeans that looked new (but how can you tell these days they all look like they've been aged somewhat!), plus a lovely Jeans West white fitted shirt with ¾ sleeves which was definitely new. I paid $7.25 for the jeans and $4.75 for the shirt! Stoked.

Emme, will be very interested to see if you like it. Where did you buy it? Like the fold down idea.
When I first started getting serious about bread making, 40 years ago, a friend made me a frame that would sit over my electric frypan . I would put water in frypan, put a cake rack over frypan and sit bread dough in bowl on the rack. I would place a cloth over the lot. Pretty cumbersome but worked well. The yeast was not as good as it is today so needed a lot of help.

Chookie, just made some bread. Very wet here this morning so thought I would try out the bread proofer. Very pleased with it, it has a tray for water in the bottom and it worked very well. Purchased mine from Yoke Mardewi at wildsourdough.com.au. Paid a bit more for freight though.

Thanks Emme, looks good. Sounds perfect for our cold climates.
I see there are a couple of places in Victoria that sell them.

Chookie, wished I had known they were available in Vic. would have bought it from there, would have saved on freight. I couldnt find anywhere else that had them in. Contacted the maker in US and he told me about wildsourdough.
Cookie, yes I am happy with it. Took only a few minutes to preheat it, set it at 24 degrees and I am about 1-1/2 hours ahead of where I normally would be. The bread is baked. Will be trying it out with the sourdough later in the week.

Well the Kogan airfryer arrived today. Very fast delivery indeed. It has no instruction manual, let alone a recipe book. Luckily their is plenty of things on the forum to guide me and there is also a fair bit on youtube too. Looks like it will be something air fried for lunch.
It's pretty big too. I will have a go at making kale chips in it and if it does a decent job then the dehydrator is going.

Mich you will find that the kale chips blow around. I think Bedlam solved that problem.
