Great buys Cookie - I have the Bakes and Gratin's one and love it (at least for now). You can't beat a WW recipe.

If you are into bread making, I have bought the sandwich bread tin and lid from Alyce Alexandra and wow I love it! I'm waiting on delivery for the Jumbo tin and sliding lid. I've been making the Laucke Barossa Rye Sourdough in the sandwich tin and it fits beautifully, and is one of the nicest breads I've ever made and the size and shape is perfect in this tin. The flavour and texture is amazing. I don't know why, but I love square bread cos it is easy to cut into slices and toast. The tins are not cheap, but they are very heavy duty and really really good

I noticed those in her newsletter. I am lucky as I have several fantastic bread tins I bought from Yoke Mardewi. I do have 2 with lids as well but have got used to non square bread. There is nothing like a really good bread tin.

I also love my bread tins and have 3 black ones that I bought when I first started making bread so very long ago. They are very well worn. I also have a nice new one that I got from All About Bread but still use the oldies as well. Havent tried a lid though as I don't mind my bread to be odd shapes.

I love my AA bread tins too CP -but I didn't buy the lids....I'm thinking I may have to change that!

I find not having the curvature on the top of the loaf makes it easier to slice evenly for sandwiches and toast. Of course you also have the option of lid on / off if you want a more rustic looking top. The tins are very solid, and I do think that the loaf is better than the other tins that I've used which are thinner.

Another thing I've bought lately are the kitchen knives from Ikea. I bought the knife sharpener and block as well. These are extremely sharp and I'm very impressed so far. I've had a couple of Mundial sets and they haven't lasted as long as I wanted them to - probably because I don't sharpen them before every use and they've just lost it completely. I've also bought the plastic chopping board from AA and love it because it grips the kitchen bench and doesn't slide around. They're just a couple of little things that make my kitchen a happy place.

Oh Gert, I have been bad and tricked you. I wish it was a Corvette car in red but it isn't. Here is a photo.
