Have just been buying up Ball Mason jars when I see them....seems to be a shortage of them, with ripe tomatoes everywhere ATM.
I'm now painting & distressing them slightly, before I turn them into candles. So far there's pink, teal & white.
& lots of apothecary jars, which I'm filling with perfumed laundry crystals.

Your dressmaker was an excellent find Julie!
Yes she gets referrals from a few dress shops in town where people need things shortened, taken in etc. Lovely lady and so cheap.
Thanks girls, I'm hoping it fits nicely.
Love the distressed jars Maddy, what a great idea (and so you)

There really will be a shortage of jars now you're in the market for the maddy
What fun you're having.

I went to the girls Bunnings this morning. (Kitchen Warehouse). Now I have my pasta maker I thought this may come in handy.

A few recipe books like that would be a must if you have that pasta maker cookie.

Looks interesting Cookie, I just looked it up and it mentions making sweet pastries with it I wonder if the pasta machine would knead and extrude out a pastry?

From the instructions you can use short pastry with it too. The recipe book with it has a fruit pie recipe in it.

I bought a couple of crumpet rings from All About Bread for the sour dough crumpets as they are becoming a habit for breakfast.
Nice book Cookie; have you tried making pasta with different flour like Spelt or Kamut.

No I haven't tried any other flours other than buckwheat Troupie. I think BZB has used semolina.

I have trouble in the cooler months finding somewhere warm enough to proof the bread dough so I treated myself to this folding proofer box. Will try it out tomorrow

Looks like you could use this to make yogurt as well!
You could use the Thermomix jars (or any small jar) to make individual yogurt serves.
Or you could use your yogurt maker to prove bread dough!
