Very useful Chookie.

I laughed at your post, Chookie... we just bought a Stihl battery chainsaw on Friday (and I talked DH into getting me a blower attachment for the paths).  Our friend bought a Stihl chainsaw a couple of weeks ago and is absolutely delighted with it, so we decided to get the same make.  It seems Stihl is the way to go (we could probably also get the hedge clipper attachment as well ... if only we had hedges to clip!!!).

Just had another look at the photos, our battery pack would be too large for that hedge clipper!

Marina,  we have had Stihl chain saws for years.  Always big petrol ones as Ral cut all the fire wood for Winter at Cherokee. The battery is the way to go now as they don’t need charging too often.
You will love the leaf blower.

Our leaf blower is electric, but is used to blow dust and car grease as much as leaves now.

Chookie did you get your microwave fixed?

We have a Stihl chainsaw that is petrol powered and a smaller one that is electric. I remember the adds used to say " it's STihl the one!"

Cookie, still waiting to hear from the microwave people.  The one you are looking at looks interesting but if I have to replace mine will probably go for a Miele . Still interested in the warming drawer.

This is what I bought when in Melbourne.
The plates were to try and eat more veggies.
The stand with the 4 plates is to make more room on the table.

They look good Chookie.

As I was strolling through Castlemaine yesterday, off to buy shoelaces, I saw some really nice jumpers outside the menswear shop - Shetland wool, $49.90 each, so popped in and got one for DH; hope he likes it.  If they are still there next week I might get one for myself as well.

Marina, certainly a good idea.
I saw a book today on Bread making and thought your DH might like it.

Thanks, Chookie, I'll show it to him.

Also, could you hold two tickets for us for the Creswick SD demonstration on 16 June - I'll confirm it in a week or two so that if DH feels he cannot make it someone else can make use of the tickets.  If we come, do we pay "at the door" or is it pre-payment?

Marina, would love for you both to come to bread demo.  Pay on day , then if DH can’t come nothing lost.
How about coming to Invermay for lunch after demo ?
