The things that I like to wear most are necklaces that have comedown through the family.  They are not expensive but unusual. I also like brooches which I match with different coats  and cardigans.

A couple of the brooches I inherited belonged to my Nan. I think their value is purely in the vintage area but they are lovely.

I'm not even going to look that book up, Cookie, I am meant to be behaving and that will surely ruin any self control I think I have got!!!  Looking forward to hearing what you think of the recipes, though (I can then enjoy them vicariously!).

I am quite impressed with the book. I have made the Garibaldi Biscuits from it this afternoon. They are chilling prior to cooking at the moment.

I saw those when I was searching for the microwave. I wasn’t too sure about them and figured I’d stay with my cast iron pot.

I am off to buy a new (Miele) vacuum cleaner for work straight after gym this morning and, sadly, there is a small Lakkeland Plastics outlet within the shop I am going to ... oh dear, I guess I really HAVE to check it out as well  :(

I bought one of the silicon bread makers today. It’s only a small one and I want to use it in the Varoma. I was looking for a small loaf tin. This was on the throw out pile for $10 and I thought that was an acceptable price.
