I went shopping only to see how all coped with a world which required cash due to Telstra fibre optic cabling being taken out as result of yesterday's deluge BUT I didn't purchase a thing  :)

What a gorgeous apron. Must look out for one next time I am shopping.

Shopping today and Homeart are closing down so I bought an ice cream machine reduced from $60 to $20. Now to learn to make ice cream lol

Thanks DG, I just got it because I wanted one now and couldn't wait, but I'm wearing it now and its super cute...especially for $8!

Think I might have to make a trip to Homeart tomorrow....

My chip maker arrived late yesterday and I tried them today.  Turned out really crunchy although could not get salt to stick to them.
Marie

I must admit I have the same problem Marie.  I wonder what would happen if we added it to the raw potato - one way of finding out, off to the kitchen.

I'm back and have great news.  Firstly, I didn't bother peeling the potato - making chips just became quicker.  I then sprayed them very lightly with olive oil and sprinkled my spicy salt mixture lighty over the top.  Cooked them for 4 minutes, watching all the time in case what I had done was a no-no and making sure they didn't burn.

Result - excellent chips with more flavour because of the oil and the salt definitely stuck as it was too spicy for me tonight whereas when I used it on the already cooked chips previously, it could be tasted but was no where near as spicy as doing it this way.

I always add any seasoning before cooking.. Ensures much better flavour in food than adding it after :)

Even at the supermarket I can have fun.....
Apron so that I look clean at brunch tomorrow
Poachies so the eggs look a bit special with less stress (hopefully)
And then at the kitchen shop....
Finally got around to getting an independent oven thermometer (I'm sure my oven runs hot)
A mini ice cream/cookie/mashed potato scoop (thanks for the idea Maddy)
[edited a typo]

Did the scoop come from a supermarket? Which one?

Meagan, the scoop was from Wheel & Barrow. It is not much bigger than melon baller, I thought it was too small at first but worked out really well.
