I have a Magi-can opener - probably about 20 years old now and still going strong...mind you I have never opened a 3kg can with it  ;D

That's the type I use if camping or have no power and hubby does not like it either. But the electric can opener is the only one that has even worked every time without fail and have not had to replace (got it for wedding pressie).  ;)

I have one of the battery operated one that rides around the top of the can on its own.  They were so cheap at the kitchen outlet store that I bought three, figuring I would just toss them when they died but so far am still using the first and the batteries last a good while.

One Touch can opener.

My favourite can opener is the one DH was issued when he did his national service. I'm left handed so have problems with some can openers.

Ah yes fundj, we all have/had one of those but they do work.  My DD has something down there that I have a devil of a job working out, I usually end up handing it to DH to figure out as I don't have patience with fandangled items.  She also has a enjo mop that I couldn't work out how to open to put the cloth on - even though it had the word open and an arrow, darn thing wouldn't open for me so I got down on my hands and knees and just used the mop attachment  :-))  Her whole house is too hi-tech for me.  The doorbell went but I didn't know how to use the security thingy whatsit which showed you who was at the front door so, not being able to tell them I was on my way down, I ran down 2 flights of stairs and caught them just as they were leaving the property.  Naturally DD thinks it's funny but give me the old fashioned ideas any day.
