I hsve 2 spice drawers and 2 ice cream containers full of brown paper bags, i do use all f them over the year. Ibdian and other asian foods need a lot.

All done and everything fitted in nicely with room to move and see everything at a glance.  Most things are in alphabetical order except for all the spices starting with C, they are all in the first of the deeper drawers.  Amazing how many spices start with C.
I used another of the deeper drawers for anything to do with baking cakes and the bottom drawer has lots of chocolate items in it.  I am very pleased with myself, now to tackle the pantry and see if I can make that more user friendly.

cuilidh yes it is just a magnetic board and often people use a large metalic steel board sort of like a extra long splash back to put them in the kitchen but i just got some office type boards that were magnetic  and andie is right the pots have magnets on the bottom of them...you buy them that way and the clear lids are screw top.... they are very easy to see spices and if you have wall space they are a great space saver in the cupboards...i did that system as i got sick of not finding spices i wanted and buying a new one only to find that i already had it etc ...i love this system plus i find it pleasing to look at...most of our friends and neighbours that have come to the house and see it then go and do the szame thing at their place...you could use any type of magnetic surface really ...whatever you find that is fairly flat and magnetic you can use as a board....

i first saw the idea on a deco show but back then they were containers meant for stationary like andie mentioned but now they make all sorts of jars etc with magnetic bases...you could even get different pots and with a strong glue stick magnets on the bottom of them...ideas are endless really but i found it cheaper and easier and i liked the look of the ones at ikea..here they are sold in boxes of 4 containers...over here to buy from a company who makes specifically that will sert you back quite a few hundred euros....this way it cost me around a hundred with all the spice containers, boards etc so a whole lot cheaper for the same result..and im sure in oz it would be even cheaper still

They are fabulous Frozzie - now the question bears asking - how would I fit such a handy piece (no not you Frozzie!!!!!!!!    ) in my setup!!!!

for the magnetic spice rack im sure you can find a side of a cupboard or a wall space somewhere in yiour kitchen!!  Could even work on the inside of a pantry or cupboard door if there was enough space ??  A girlfriend of mine put up boards on small spaces..she also got a smaller board as she has less spices ...the great thing about this is whatever magnetic board or base you find to fit the space you can use...as you know my kitchen is small and i put them up above a bookcase next to teh double doors and another one in a small wall space between the kitchen outer doors and the laundry...whatever works!

love the spice storage  frozzie
l have never seen them before , they look good and looks very useful
l need to work out my pantry to see what to do

judy you have done well to sort out your pantry
 it looks great and your white draws looks like part of the lounge room
  you would never guess that food was stored in there . l would think that dvd would be in there

do you want to come and sort out my pantry , l need a kick up the bum  as l am bit of a procrastinator

i use a draw, the materfoods mustard jar are a good size.

Thanks nazar - I appreciate your comments.  Resorting the pantry just seems to happen on the spur of the moment, you will find yourself doing yours when you least expect it.

Had to laugh at DH, he thought I was going to put the drawers in the pantry - how he thought it was going to fit in there I will never know.

I am tempted. any brand to buy, or stay away from.

It is a must for any kitchen Robyn, you won't regret buying one.  This is the one Amanda bought then several of us followed once she had tested it and given it the thumbs up.   Haven't heard any complaints from those who bought it and I love mine.
