DG what are you using the wooden spoon for?
I use my TM spatula for a cooking aid, but for removing food I use my tupperware spatula, its fantastic removes all the food easily & leaves the jug quite clean

I like to use a spoon to make cookies. I usually spoon it out and roll the up and then pop onto cooking tray. When making cokkies non tmx I use a metal dessert spoon, but I believe metal is no good for tmx.

I always empty mixture into a bowl as I like to see how much there is.

I do what Hally does, especially for biscuit mixture or muffins - far easier to work from a plastic/ceramic bowl than the TMX bowl.
Cakes are different, I just pour the mixture in. Casserole type meals I tip into the thermosaver or a casserole dish and serve from there. Soup, I serve/pour from the TMX bowl.

Thanks for your advice girls. I may have to start tipping the mixture into my mixing bowl, even if it means more washing up

DG I use a metal spoon to get my biscuits out of the bowl. I just place the bowl on the bench near the tray and scoop it out.
Tasty did you buy an ostrich egg?

I don't think that's too bad. I pay $38.65 for 2 kg through Biodistributors online.

Just received my Cuisinart Ice-cream maker - no, not rushing to make anything just yet. Have to find a nice home for it now.

http://www.thermoworks.com/products/handheld/therma_k.html#Specifications
It was recommended to me by a chef for a good all rounder thermometer.
I also bought 2 PHOO1 clips ($4.00) each
With postage from U.S cost around $132
The brand apparently is very accurate.
