Bought myself a picture for my bedroom today, may need to change the coloured scatter cushion but it does tone in better in real life than it does in the picture.

Wow..  Love this link.  I had not worked out how to down load books myself
DH has been getting books for me that he thinks I should read   ???  How to dig drains... :-\  How to set up dams... :(

Now I can get my own.  Found 5 Minute Recipes  and Smart school time recipes, and some nice fantasy novels.  Much more relaxing :D

DH & I both had a laugh when we remembered my Dad's comments about a similar frame on a picture I bought for the kitchen many years ago.  Not knowing about shabby chic or distressed anything, he thought I must have picked the picture up in a second-hand store and commented that it would look good once I painted the frame  ;D

i love old and distressed furniture

the table and the  buffet where given to me a while ago, both where made from an very old cottage, the panels on the buffet are tin which originally was the ceiling
