I would rather face a snake than a green tree frog. Cockroaches, spiders, flying insects - none of them worry me - show me a frog and all hell breaks loose.

Hope mine don't start. My yard is full of frogs so I have a "I don't go outside after dark" rule. When the kids were small I never let on that I was afraid of them and as a result they love them. Helps when I find myself in a situation or if I need something from outside once dark has come.  :-\

LOL

The local House is having a big sale so this morning I bought a coloured scanpan knife to try. We have really good knives but this one felt lovely in my hand.

I love those little scan pan knives. They are really sharp and easy to keep sharp. Cheap too.

I bought about 5 different kinds of those coloured scan pan knives in the kitchenware direct sale! Haven't opened them as yet but they look nice  :)

Love the furniture and the kitten. I won't be buying anything for a while as I'm getting a new roof on the house in February. No more water running down the walls and into my pantry when we get hail or heavy rain!
Where do you find the regular emoticons when in tapatalk? Does anyone know?

I use a sharpening stone with a bit of water on it not oil. In between major sharpening I use a German made knife sharpener  or my steel. When I am fed up with doing all that I take all my knives to a professional sharpener. My good knives were expensive so I look after them and I really hate dull crap knives.

The scan pan colourfull  knives are not the best by any means but they serve a purpose and  are almost disposable. If you cannot slice a ripe tomato then sharpen your knives I say.   If you can have just one good utility knife then make it last.

I keep my German made knife sharpener on the bench top and always sharpen before I put my knives on their magnetic rack. Never put them in a drawer or dishwasher and never  let the kids use them.

My DH was a butcher and is really good at sharpening his own knives. But I could never seem to get him to sharpen mine when I needed him too so I went and brought some stay sharp knives for my self.
Always the way, like they say a mechanics car is always broken down.

Frozzie, download an app called imoji and add it as a new keyboard in settings. It has some cute emoticons that you can use on the forum and in emails.😉

Scanpan knives are okay, but I can't go past my global knife.. Also those little Victorinox serrated knives that you find at the counter of a lot of kitchen shops are amazing!

The global knife sharpener is also excellent. 😍
