Also found this great little cookbook 1/2 price.

The Agricultural Society of NSW asked every country show society to submit its best award winning recipes. Of more than 400 submissions, the top 190 made it into this classic collection of home-made favourites.

Incidental images from your favourite country shows depict the atmosphere, fun and rich community spirit in rural Australia.

A percentage of proceeds from the sale of this book will go to individual show societies and to assist country areas.

I have this book and it has the nicest carrot cake in there, wouldn't make any other now.  :)

Forgot what I came on here to say.  This morning I bought 2 tickets to Crows vs Richmond game in 3 weeks.

Oh JulieO I have yet to try anything in it yet. My plan is to do that this long weekend.

Exercise is a dirty word... Every time I hear it, I wash my mouth out with chocolate

I bet there are some lovely recipes in that book Julie - our country cooks are just the best aren't they? Oh, I forgot, I am speaking to one  ;)  Good to see you are coming down to see the Crows play occasionally - they're playing well at the moment.

:D Thanks Judy. Must admit I've only made the carrot cake from it up to now, you know how it is, so many recipes that I get pulled from pillow to post!  ;D

This will be our 3rd game so far this season.  Went to the Nab Grand Final (won - Yay!), then against Collingwood a week ago (lost - Boo!) and now booked for the Richmond game.  Being a member I get to buy the tickets a day earlier than the gen public so always try and get the Northern Grandstand; great view and out of the rain. Staying at the Lakes Resort just across the way makes it a very pleasant experience and one we really look forward to. (can you tell I'm excited? - love my footy!)  ;D

Things seem to be on the up for the Power now too Judy after such a bad start, though this week against Hawthorn is going to be hard, but after this weekend's upsets, anything is possible.   ;D

Dizzy, I've had my book for well over a year now, probably longer and I've only made the carrot cake so far, so don't feel bad.  :D

Love the Lakes Resort Julie, you couldn't have picked a better, more convenient place to stay.

Does a new haircut count as shopping?  Have gone from hair down to the bra strap to a short pixie cut.  The hairdresser nearly fell over when I asked her to cut it all off.  It was time for a change and I got sick of my little one constantly putting my hair in his mouth.

Need to find all my scarves as my neck is now cold.

Just brought my self a little purple ceramic heater for my framing workshop. It is absolutely freezing here at the moment and it's only the 4th day of winter.
Oh and brought a new purse and a new watch :)

Wood heater is roaring and it's lovely and cosy inside. Only problem is we are about to go out to a friends for her birthday. I really don't want to leave the warmth here :(

Great to read that you are a footy fan JulieO.

Does a new axle and a new engine for a 4wd count as going shopping?

A huge weekend of carnage whilst hubby was "wheelin' it with the boys" ... as they do.  :-))

I think this means I'll not be posting anything in the shopping thread for the next 10 years or so.  :'( :'( :'(

Oh, even sadder - means I can't tow my shiny float anywhere either. My day is just getting worser and worser. :( (and I don't care if that's not a real word! :()
