He is selling the hot mix pro to get the gastro (?) model as it will apparently cope better with the demands of a commercial kitchen. He is from Germany and said he has been using the TMX's for over 20 years and while a great machine finds the higher temp and better stability makes it more versatile and better in for commercial kitchen. He seemed to know a lot of in depth knowledge of all the machines and their suitability. he was also saying the over the next few years we will see Australian made ones that the commerical ktichens will move to as they have with sous vide machines as they can guarantee fast turnarounds when maintenance is needed and spare parts are always available quickly which isn't always the case with all the imported machines. He also mentioned TMX should have looked at reducing their prices a little to keep the market share they have.

I have often wondered at the stability of the price of TMXs in Australia ... they have stayed much the same price over the years, from when the dollar was high, therefore making overseas purchases of TMXs much cheaper, until the current market, with the lower dollar making overseas purchases more expensive.  Someone must have been raking in huge profits a year or two ago ...

CP he hadn't heard of the forum but seemed very knowledgable. He was saying his aunt in Germany has had a TMX for over 20 years.

Can I hold hands too? The pictures of food posted on the airfryer thread are weakening my resolve.

Guys, I was a NO NO NO.

I absolutely love it. Crispy toasted sandwich for breakfast, yummmmmm

Its going to stay on the bench so I use it, kids afternoon tea, quick lunch for me, snacks, its endless.

Wish I had bought it before the heat, would have made life better

Hally it really is great isn't it. If you are able to leave it on the bench you find so many quick uses for it. I'll be doing pork belly in it tonight hoping it works as well as my last one.

I'm holding strong as I would have to move my ice cream maker somewhere. I need to steam more instead of using fats and oils. I would like to play with one though, so I'm purposely not looking at any airfried photos to remain strong.
