Judy, glad you are not climbing that ladder, but as you say good to have on hand for others to use.
Yes, I agree with Julie, your garden is looking terrific.
Yesterday Ral bought a hedge trimmer and I got a Chook house from Bunnings. Family wanted to rush over immediately and assemble it but there is a bit of preparation to do first. We need to pull down the old Chook house and then this will slot into the space nicely with a fox proof yard.

Chookie, I saw those chook yards at Bunnings, they look really nice. Hope the family have fun putting it together once you are prepared. May you be rewarded with lots of eggs.

The chook house we inherited is very posh ... my DH always said if he was ever wanting a break he would go and sleep in there.

Just heard from a neighbour, though, that he has put 9 chickens in there in the past week, so DH is dead out of luck (although the chickens could possibly be interesting bed mates!)

Thanks for the chuckle Marina. I'd  love a couple of chooks to cuddle and have lay eggs, however I think the neighbours may not.

Bad luck, Marinas DH.
This is the one we got. It will sit in a large fox proof yard.

I like the look of that one, Chookie.

We're down to three chooks, apparently we only had the 9 for one night until various neighbours came in to collect some.

Phew, now that is a chook house Jeninwa. Room for Marina's DH too, and any that wish to join him.
