Consumerate, that is very interesting. Have been tempted.
Just grocery shopping, need bread flour. That won't surprise anyone . Coles has the 10 k bag cheaper than the other Supermarkets.

From memory some forum members tried using the thermomix for sous vide cooking some time ago.

Yes, I think I remember reading about it. The thermomix can do it but there is quite limited space and the temperature control on the tm31 only goes in 10 degree increments which means you can't be quite as precise. Great way to start to see if the style of cooking suits you though.

Today we did burger patties. Minced chuck steak loosely formed into a pattie and seasoned on the outside with salt. In zip loc bags and in the water bath at 55c for 2.5 hours then on the bbq to brown and melt cheese on top. Burger bun dough kneaded in the tmx :)

To keep in with the shopping theme, today I bought Florence Broadhurst tablecloths from Peter's of Kensington:

That colour on super special and also the blue one.

Jamberie I went to a Tupperware party recently and was very impressed with the pressure cooker too, but wasn't sure how much I would use it. I did buy the snack press though and used it for the first time today. This is the choc chip cookie dough I pushed through it

I'm still waiting for my snack press to turn up....think my tuppa lady has forgotten!!

I dropped an order of melts off to a store I supply...and walked out with this gorgeous, massive serving board.
Mango wood made by Davis & Waddell.
It was used the next day for nibbles & wine with the girls  :P

Maddy, looks very handy. Nice display of nibbles.
Bit of a trap when you deliver you hand made goodies to nice shops.

It's lovely Maddy. I didn't realise it was so large until the photo of it with food.

I got a Bamix stick mixer, with loads of accessories (what am I going to do with all of them???).  It was actually free as I used my MasterCard points to 'buy' it so I'm happy about that!

Nice serving board Maddy.  Cuilidh I had a bamix for years before I got my TM, it was very good.

I've bought a couple of things for myself.  This lovely soft leather jacket in cognac, hope it looks/fits as nice in real life.  Will return if not.  Also a new wallet (already received it).  The leather is lovely on this one too and it fits so well in my hand with lots of storage inside, I really like it.  :D
