Popped into Dymocks today for a gift voucher for my nephews birthday, couldn't resist a couple of books for myself!

Hawaii is a top destination - the 1st time we visited our three girls were quite young (lower primary school and they enjoyed visiting the historical sites as much as we did.  On 3rd visit last year DH and I did the island hopping staying at 2 of the islands with only a couple of days on Oahu).  Are you going in the upcoming Sept hols, Hally?  :D  :D

Went to Phuket early this year VHJ. Went to a great cooking school and found the best elephant rides (there are plenty but most are just around local roads). Great shopping and atmosphere. Lots I would do again and some that have advised others not to bother with. Hope you have a great time.

CP, that's really taking your strike to the limits - leaving the kids home to fend for themselves completely  ;)
You will have a great time, when are you going?

hally you wont need to worry about things for DS to do...we often do the 24 hr stint from paris to oz with our two and between the hostesses checking on them and giving them activity packs and snack packs and the movies, games etc on the individual screens its all good...they are pretty occupied...the rest of the time they sleep..this is on the international legs..domestic not at all the same!!

hawaii ive heard great things from everyone who has been there..;my parents have been a couple of times...thats our next big non oz trip...there is a fantastic cheap shopping center there too...i know a local navy guy who gave me some places to go when my parents went last time!

CP have a great time in Bali  :)
