Germany's Next Top Thermomix Consultant!!!
« on: September 04, 2011, 12:56:13 pm »
Yes, you heard it correctly, you are now looking at Germany's Next Top Thermomix Consultant.

I met with my lovely GL Petra today, whose English is about as good as my German (plus Ed and another consultant helping her out) and I signed up!!!  I am now officially a Thermomix Consultant!! Yippee!! Woohoo!!!

I have read all the pros and cons on the website and from what I have read and understood today (with Ed's assistance of fluent German) it seems to be completely wonderful and honestly NOTHING to lose at all.

I have my kit and my flip chart (AHHH, all in German, might need to pick up an English one when next in Aus???) and I will start on the trail at once.  I have two potential parties lined up already and look forward to being THE consultant to the expat English speaking community of Frankfurt and surrounds.  And if I have to do a party in German, never fear - Ed is here!!!

As I write to you, guess who has his nose in my Thermobag of tricks, reading every recipe and interrupting me, showing me things and talking non stop about Thermomix. You guessed it - Ed!!!

Yes, in your excitement you forgot to mention how Thermie is doing Lee  :D :D  This is great news, I'm sure your demos will be great - I for one would love to see you in action, you would have to be one of the keenest people I have ever 'met'.  Hopefully it won't mean you will have less time to keep in touch with us all.  Good luck  :-*

Nothing like a positive attitude!! Good luck and hope you conquer any German language issues,

Oh, it is thanks to you Judy and Kathryn and all you Thermodarlings on the amazing forum that I am so keen.  Even though Thermie is not fit for demos yet, he soon will be.  I showed Thermie's embarrassing little problem to her and she said the entire bowl will be replaced.  She didn't have one on hand but just pop to her house and my wish is her command.

Basically, I don't want to be anything like my own consultant.  And after her really ignoring me since purchase, I thought if she can make a sale with literally zero effort, imagine what I could do... :)

Unfortunately, I am crazy busy with work right now and I am flying off to a conference in Cambridge, UK next Friday for five days PLUS I am on an organising committee for another one here in Germany so heaven knows when I will actually get around to hosting my first party. I am motivated, my GL knows that and she is happy that I just do what I do.  This will never be a full time job, nor do I want it to be.  But I have a couple of parties lined up already and I am ready to go.

Thank you to all for your support and encouragement so far.

I've been here since December 2009 and I just love it.  I understand far more German than I am able to speak.  But I figure that mixing with German speakers, in particular my GL and team, will help with the language development far more than a course will.  I will do English parties for now and who knows, maybe one day, a German party!!  Thanks for the good wishes Frozzie!!

PS Hope I don't get asked for a party this week - Thermie is still sick!

So pleased to hear your decision to become a consultant - I think, considering your enthusiasm, it was inevitable that you would take this step and we all know you (and Ed, as I don't think he is wanting to be left out of all of this) will be a great success.  Don't forget to keep in touch with us all, though, as your posts on this forum have been wonderful and we all look forward to your next forum 'instalment'.

Lee that's wonderful news.  I'm sure you and thermie will make a wonderful team, just as you and Ed are already a wonderful team.

Good luck.  I wish you lots and lot of bookings and lots and lots of sales.  You deserve it.
