I have seen a demo last week and was not that impressed, I must admit..... Im an experienced home cook, worked in hospitality for years.... but after coming home reading, researching and watching vids, I am now thrilled with this little gem. I have now booked a demo at my place and will definitely be getting one soooo impressed...now.
I have a family and after all the years of whats for tea Mum am feeling like I need a little incentive and why not a Thermo. I have done the whole.... slow cooked, pressure cooked, microwaved cooked, I make my own hand made bread, so lets have ago at this and see if its as much fun as those.

Hi Delta.....unfortunately some consultants really do not know how to sell the thermomix...some get into it just to get their thermomix for their time and that can make for a crappy consultant...Ive seen some consultants who do more damage than good but saying that there are alot of good consultants out there and to be honest once you see what it can do, the possibilities are endless...im sure you will love it as much as we all do!  Look forward to hearing more from you when you get your thermomix

Well I am so glad you decided to do some research and join us here on the forum. Hopefully your next Demo will be much better and help you to make the final decision. We all love out TM's on here (As you have probably already worked out). If you need any info then please just ask and someone will be able to help you out pretty quickly.
I have 5 kids and the "Whats for tea Mum" drives me crazy, I have made a huge variety of different recipes since having the TM and am always looking for new recipes to try.

Hi Delta, and welcome, I am so envious as I wish I had the Bimby when the kids were home, how many times do you wish you could just leave home when everyone wants to know whats for dinner and you haven't a clue.  At least with the Bimby you have so many people on hand to help you out.  As for the money I reckon if you are anything like me you will save that in Cookery Books, my hubby always used to say " how can you have so many cookery books and you never cook anything different," to which I used to reply " how come you have so many tools in the garage and the house still looks the same."  You won't regret it.

I want to welcome you too, Delta.  I hope all goes well with your next demo.  Sit back, relax and enjoy.  (Please excuse me if I'm being too curious, but I was wondering if you'd mind sharing what put you off at the demo you attended.)  Thank goodness for this forum.  It really is motivating at so many levels.  Hope to read more of your posts on here once you get practising with your very own Thermomix.

Welcome from me as well Delta, I took my debit card out straight away after my demo(well hubby did actually  ) and I am so glad we did. Like you I cooked a meal from scratch nearly every day of my life and cannot imagine my life without the thermie now you will love it I'm sure.

A warm welcome Delta.  It's great that you were able to overcome the intital demo and see the true benefits of the TMX.  It will surely transform your cooking.  We will look forward to hearing back from you on how you are getting on and, perhaps, some recipe conversions as well once you are up and running with your TMX.

The reason I wasn't too impressed with the demo was (don't want to be rude but) the demonstrator was really not that good a cook I didn't think. There were pips in her sorbet , the risotto really didn't turn out well at all, a bit undercooked and i could taste uncooked onions. I love to cook and thought it would be a good machine, but the raw onion flavour and sloppy risotto, not for me. I did like the bread dough and a few other things. So then when I went online and watched and read more about it I understand that it could be used the way i would use it, how it could help me. I know a lot of people are interested in the healthy aspects, the going back to basics and that is great. I already try my best to cook healthy I really was more interested in something to make me enjoy cooking even more and give me a boost

Will let you know how the demo goes. I have asked for a different demonstrator just to see anothers spin on it.

Welcome to the forum Delta!  You should ask your new consultant for dishes you would like to see cooked in the TMX.  Mine was happy to tweak her demo menu and I was happy to pay for some of the groceries.

Hi Delta, welcome to the forum.  You have a great attitude towards cooking so it is clear you are going to love what the TMX can do for you.  I agree, some consultants are obviously not cooks and it shows in their demos - a good basic cook will always make the TMX work for her/him.  Enjoy your time on the forum - you will love it as much as you will love your TMX.
