More from the BabyCakes  baker.

Cheesy muffins -  not that great - too bland.

Yesterday it was chocolate fudge brownie cake from a mix I got for free with a cake pan.
Rather tasty.  Too much sugar for me to consume too many.  One is more than enough.

Very moist and tender:

It's about 2cm deep, 18 cm diameter and holds 1 1/2 cups of filling.

I finally christened mine this week  ;D
Lee.....did you use the recipe with the book?  I made those first, but didn't really like them, bit too heavy and pancake tasting.  I did a bit of googling, and found a recipe that certainly looked and tasted more like a doughnut. I will keep searching. Have a look at the difference a recipe makes........the left side (the flat ones) were the Sunbeam recipe.

.....and just to add, I used the cupcake pen for adding the batter to the holes.....not one drop fell outside the rings....so that was one purchase justified  :P

Maddy, I have the same sunbeam donut machine.
My kids love them, and I ice them , add sprinkles, or choc frogs too.

Do you use the sunbeam recipe Robyn?
Next time I will try out katesjoy conversion for baked doughnuts.

Do you know that you can also bake yeast doughnuts in the doughnut baker?  I can't give you a recipe but a friend has one of the doughnut bakers and uses a small doughnut cutter, allows the cutouts to rise for twenty minutes or so and then transfers them to the baker.
They turn out very light, mostly hollow and quite crusty with none of the fat one gets with frying.

My "new" Sunbeam pie baker (2 pie) arrived today.  However, this is my bread-baking day so no pies today and probably not tomorrow as I have been tapped to help with preparing a huge batch of tamales for a party to be held on Saturday.
As there will probably be at least 100 of each "flavor" beef, pork, chicken, beef tongue, it requires several people working like a production line.
It's fun and gives me a chance to learn a bit more Spanish each time.

So right now it looks like Friday will be the day to give the pie maker a test drive.

Oatmeal bread with potato bread in the background - non-TMX dough.

What a gorgeous colour your oat loaf is Andie!.....bet it was tasty too  :-*
Can't wait to see what you put in your pies.

Do you know that you can also bake yeast doughnuts in the doughnut baker?  I can't give you a recipe but a friend has one of the doughnut bakers and uses a small doughnut cutter, allows the cutouts to rise for twenty minutes or so and then transfers them to the baker.

That's great to know Andie.  I really think they will have more of the doughnut taste & texture, instead of cake texture.  Can't wait to try it out.
