Another thing BZB is that I coat the same parts of chicken.  I do all breast or all thighs.  I don't do mixed pieces.  This does make it easier.

I tried KFC tonight. ..
I added 1 tbsp olive oil tothe flour mix. The chicken was deliciously moist.
I still need to tweak the coating...The first batch I put on baking paper and I thought they were a bit dry and you could still see the flour in parts.  The second batch (I used tenderloins) I didn't bother with the baking paper and they were better (and no mess on the wire either)... next time I'll spray them with oil in the hope that the coating is a little more crispy.
Despite not having a perfect result, this time, I'll use the airfryer for this recipe from now on as it is so quick and yummy :)

FYI This is where I'm up to on my Airfryer/KFC quest....I think spraying with oil a number of times during cooking might be the way to go.
I have a Facebook page with all things cooking, you'll find it here: https://www.facebook.com/What-Amber-Ate-1097437023601587/

Chookie that bread looks great and such a perfect looking rng shape.

BZB, I would try on baking paper for the first few minutes then take the paper out and continue cooking.

I was just thinking about making potato twists using the apple peeler/corer (I think astarra cooks these) so tried the air fryer.
1 reasonable sized potato soaked for 1/2 hour, dried thoroughly, seasoned & tossed with 1 tblspn olive oil.  Cooked in a preheated 160o a/f basket for 14 minutes.  Turned them over, upped the temperature to 180o and cooked 13 minutes.  Deliciously crunchy.  You could cook more than 1 potato but for 1, it was a nice little treat.

Chookie that bread looks beyond amazing.

Judy what a clever idea.

Good idea Judy.  I made French fries tonight.  Used Dutch Cream potatoes and then thought to look at my info on pots.  It said that Dutch Creams are good for anything except chips. They were actually not too bad.  I have some King Edward potatoes so will give these a go. Also had bought some frozen fish from Coles, 6 pieces in the packet,  crumbed.  Really awful.   Usually do my own .
Will post recipe for pull a part bread when I have a moment.

I'd most definitely wait too maddy.  Can't understand what the delay is, all these items should be released at the same time as a new model.  I didn't mind that the bowl insert was smaller though as it is perfect for 2 people for a frittata, potato bake, bread and butter pudding etc.

Where are you Bedlam? Mine was three days to Cairns. But it died so waiting on them receiving it, to be replaced. Hope it's this week but probably next :( I keep thinking of things I want to cook in it.
