Judy, you are really going for it. Great. Like the way everyone is trying different things, and sharing the knowledge. We will use this appliance to its full potential. Things Philips never thought possible. Ha.

Thanks INAID, it's nice cold too.
Things just come to mind Chookie, I'm sure there are many more ideas still to come from those who own an air fryer.

Made Chookie's naans in the airfryer. They puffed up nicely but couldn't get charred bits. 200C 5 mins. When I added another 1 mins the naan just got evenly brown.
Tried making the naan in the frypan too. Had the pan hot, popped the bread in but it didn't puff up at all. Just got blotchy black spots and uncooked bits.
Cooked Cookie's tandoori drumsticks. 7 pcs 200c 10 mins, 150c 10 mins, 180 3 mins. Yum!

Wow you girls are amazing. I am sorely tempted but I have two ovens, the smaller one a perfect size for doing bits and pieces. When we get our motorhome however...

........we will have to meet up on the road somewhere Gayle.
Last night we had a dish that required baked vegetables. I did them in the AF.

De frosted and baked some salmon Fish Cakes in the AF. Good. Also baked a mini loaf and toasted top in AF. I had to take the basket out to fit it in. Worked OK in the end.

Was it hard to open without the basket handle being there Chookie or didn't you completely close the door? How long do you brown the loaf in the A/F, I need to know these things now I have my mini SC. I don't want to light the grill to brown the top, it takes too long to reach temperature.

Looks great Yvette. How long did you cook your chook for?

Thanks Jamberie I mangled it a bit seeing if it was cooked.
I first did 10 minutes at 200 then 20 minutes at 180 then I rested while I did potatoes then realised it wasn't cook so did another about 20 minutes I think it was a 1.6 kilo chook which was quite big. Skin was nice and crispy.

Judy it is fairly easy to open door without the basket. Just put both hands on the sides and nails into the opening.crach/ join. Pull together. I put a thick tray liner on the bottom. I think it took about 6 minutes on 200. This mini loaf was slightly bigger than most I have mad. I know it had 10 gs. More of flour and a little more water. It is amazing that this would make such a difference.

Ta Chookie. Still have plenty of bread in the freezer so won't be testing the new SC out just yet.
