My word you have all been busy bees today!  By the end of reading four pages of posts, I had to reread what I posted in the first place.  I have had a delightful read about all your thoughts.

I am an only child of parents that worked extremely hard to send me to to a good school and to give me every opportunity that they could.  I was/am fortunate to have wonderful grandparents who attended all the events that mom and dad could not.  Nothing wrong with that.  Mom, dad and I, despite the distance between Australia and Germany speak a few times a week, email and Skype chat and I call my 96 year old grandmother every day.  Teaching children of parents who work constantly want their parents around more and children with parernts at home want their parents to work and leave them alone more.  I suppose as a parent, one cannot win! That is my five cents worth on the thread.

In regard to what I said at the beginning, it is absolutely delightful to have made so many friends on here and honestly I would love to meet with you if ever you flew through Frankfurt. It is lovely to have another network of friends all over the world with something so fabulous in common.  Who would have thought that dear little Thermie would bring so many people together like this????

Xxx
 ;D

PS thank you for the kind invitations too xxx

:) Lee to ring your grandmother every day, and parents 3 times a week, is wonderfull.
I wish more people would do that.

They are so lucky to have you. :-*

So may don't talk to family at all.

Fundj, I did see the photo - my comment was very much "tongue in cheek".  It is such a wonderful image and I love that you thought to make it into the badge!

i was looking for the  ;)

i am just playing with the pin  design thing just for fun. have a go.

if i am not on the computer, my house is clean too.

Had to steal the badge quote and post on my face book page. Love it.

A clean house it the sign of a broken computer

Judy imagine someone being so horrid to steal your shopping bags. We forgot when we were in Port Augusta and carried what we bought. When we were in Northern Territory they bought in the no plastic bag rule. I think it's a good idea.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

the no bag thing has been all over france for a few years now....well not no bags but have to now pay for them and they have both plastic and cloth...alot of shops are the same actually near all are now not just supermarkets etc

i think its important to keep in touch with family...i ring my family every other day...and do webcam once a week as thats the only day that everyone is home at the same time!! It makes it easier when they are so far away...my way of connecting with loved ones I otherwise dont see that often  :)
