Thanks for joining in and posting your kitchen Katya - I love the Aga as well, nice kitchen.  When people alter their avatar I usually forget what the previous one was but not with you, I can still see the picture of your cat in my mind (for a short time anyway, I'll soon forget I'm sure).

Thanks CP3.   We are very lucky in living in a Victorian house where the rooms dowstairs are about 12 ft high - changing light bulbs is always a bit challenging  ;D

I've also got a problem with changing bulbs very high up but also have super long-life bulbs to make it somewhat less of a problem.  I have one of the telescoping bulb holders, otherwise I would have to have someone come in to change them as I don't do stairs or ladders.

Here is my kitchen.  It was installed almost one year ago.  I love it.  It is half the size of my Australia kitchen but twice the size of anyone we know here in Germany!!!  Please notice the two Thermies in the background and admire them in wonderment and awe (albeit it temporarily)

What is the material in your counters?  It looks like the soapstone we had in the lab at my office or "honed" granite - which is what my neighbor opted for, rather than the polished stuff.
She has a lot of pottery, stoneware and etc., cookware - cazuelas and such - and learned that these pots will easily scratch polished granite but one doesn't notice it as much on the honed surface.

Gee photos are deceptive.  The material on my benchtops and splashback is little old laminex.  A fancy German version of it but just laminex.

And I forgot to show you darling Ed, standing in the kitchen, here he is!!!

A new avatar as well, Lee.  The kitchen looks great, well thought out - I trust it was a good Aussie wine Ed was drinking????

Katya, your kitchen is gorgeous.  My rayburn is old and dark brown, your sparkling red one looks great.

Oh thanks.  I am glad you like it.  Yes it was a lovely Australian wine.  Thankfully they are plentiful here and rather reasonably priced and just on the same shelf as the Italian and French.  You must come to Germany, it is awesome here!!!

Another kitchen I'd like a part of Lee, the two (decent sized) work tops so close together is great. Fits the whole kitchen triangle thing.

Is it a dining area on the left side?

Yes, the dining area is to the left of the extractor fan.  I will take another photo to give you all the grand experience!!

I think Tarasis is experiencing an extreme case of kitchen envy as his working area is so small.

I am lucky I know it.  There is nothing better than plenty of space to work in the kitchen.  But my first kitchen in my first apartment was much smaller than what I have now and I survived.  And it was a Kosher kitchen too.  I didn't have enough space for two sinks but I managed to squeeze in two dishwashers!!!
