Lovely spot.
Kids and balconies reminds me of my grand-sons current habit - putting things into the bin.  His toys, Grand-pa's tools, money at his place .... it pays to check the bins after he's gone  ;)

yes even at home we need to check bins as kids throw all sorts of things even spoons, knives and forks, toys, bits and pieces...DD is terrible for that at the moment..loves putting everything in the bin  :-))

Wow, love your last house, bet it was hard to leave. Love the view you had.
My in-laws have a view over the Derwent river and Mt Wellington never tire of the view out there window.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

i think it would always be hard to leave a house that has a great view...at my parents place on the huge balcony yu can see right down the coast....photographers, architects and agents alike have all commented on my parents place saying there is nothing like that view anywhere along the mountain..the photo is only a small part of the view..taken by my camera...the professional photos were taken of the house only for a magazine..i would love to have a house like that...open plan, unique design, great views..unfortunately its nowhere in our budget lol ..i saw a house a few years back in central france in the mountains and it was gorgeous...mix of old stone and very modern and out the back a large terrasse and huge natural garden that lead to a cliff face and on the cliff face edge they had a huge pool where hte water overflowed (or gave that impression)...absolutely stunning  :)

It was hard to leave in many ways, but in other ways I am glad we left. We had no power (only solar and generator) No water (only tank water) which we had to buy often as we used more than we stored, And mice, so many bloody mice. I absolutely hate mice, they are dirty messy horrible little creatures. We just couldn't keep them out no mater what we did. I could set 4 mouse traps and catch 4 mice a day.
Although the peacefulness, views, privacy and house were lovely (all open plan with our main room upstairs looking down over the lounge. The lack of power, the mice, the horrible access road and the maintenance was just to much. We lived their for 6 years before moving to a suburban mouse free house in Perth (Tas)

robyn i love going back its so peaceful there but just down the road from the shops too and only a short distance to major centres and beaches etc...however not a fan of the outside...i call it hte treehouse lol but it is a great house..i prefer a unique spin on a traditional house...each to their own!

Just doing a test for Judy with your kitchen CC - need to know if this pic is any larger than the one that the lovely JD posted, you may end up with multiple pics as I have been chatting with Judy via pm.   :)  :)
