I decided I needed to update the kitchen. We only moved in two months ago and the kitchen is 30 years old. It's in excellent condition, so I can't justify ripping the whole thing out....so we decided to give it a make over to give us time to see how we use the kitchen and what we might want/need when we finally upgrade.
One of the fun things I've done is to paint one whole door of the pantry with chalkboard paint (to write grocery lists and give DD a place to draw freely) and stick frames on the other door with frequently used recipes and a menu plan (use whiteboard markers each week). The great thing about this is it is not permanent as I used 3M picture hanging strips which are completely removeable....I'm not happy with the font/tyoing etc yet, but you'll get the idea....
We've also painted tiles and installed extra shelving...amazing what a big difference small things can make!
