Aloha, loving Hawaii
« on: October 09, 2011, 08:44:43 pm »
Just a really quick message to say hi.

Hawaii is so busy, our hotel is like Grand Central!

Love hawaii, the food is not quite what we expected, lots of greasy fried food, havent found much healthy food as yet, but working on it. Did find a great italian last night, i had wild mushroom risotto, dh chicken scalopini, ds 1 giant meatball with spaghetti. The food was great. The coffee shocking!!

Beach is fab, water sooo warm. We are of on a snorkeling  trip soon.

Nice to hear from you Hally - miss the chatterbox on the forum  ;)
Keep searching for that healthy food fix, there has to be some decent eating places there somewhere surely.

Being an American state I believe there is a lot of American inspired food there - if you can call that inspiration! Good luck!

Hi Hally. Keep enjoying yourself. Have you found any kitchen shops yet?

We managed to find a few restaurants that served great healthy salads but they were few and far between! fortunately (or unfortunately) we loved the ribs, chips and maui onions rings. We also found an amazing mexican that served the best pulled pork tacos I've ever tasted.

Glad  you are having a good time, you will have to do lots of walking to get rid of the fried food. Looking forward to seeing photos

glad to hear you are having fun  8) love to see a pic of you on the beach and we can try and spot you from everyone else (a bit like Where's Wally  :-))) I'm sure there must be some nice food somewhere, but if not at least you have that big bit of meat waiting for you at home.
